Catherine McAuley Library

Teacher-Librarian: Mrs Callins
Library School Officer: Mrs Sealy

Our Library is a busy and vibrant space.  It is used for Learning Support activities before school between 8.30am and 8.50pm Monday to Friday. Students are welcome to visit the Library at lunchtime for a variety of purposes such as reading, games and activities, drawing etc.

S
tudents borrow general reading material on a weekly basis with their class.  Take-home readers may need to be borrowed or returned on a more regular basis.   Items can be placed in the returns box on any day, students do not have to wait for their library day to return books. Borrowers are required to have a library bag to protect library resources and school library bags may be purchased from the uniform shop.

Book Week is the longest running children's festival in Australia.  Schools and public libraries from all over Australia spend a week celebrating books and Australian authors and illustrators through book readings, author/illustrator visits, activities and competitions to highlight the importance of reading.
The theme for 2013 is... Read Across the Universe.
