The Daily School Routine

The school gates open at 8:00am. Children will always receive 'duty of care' while they are at School. However, it should be well understood that supervision of children begins at 8:30am each morning. If care is required before this time it is necessary for parents to enrol children in the Outside School Hours Care Program (OSHC) and pay the required fee. Once children enter the school grounds, they are asked to gather in the undercover area; this is a meeting and greeting time without play. Parents and Children are not permitted in classrooms without a teacher or member of staff being present. It is very important that children arrive at school ready for morning assembly each day at 8:45am, following assembly classes commence promptly.

Classes conclude each day at 3:00pm. After School, children waiting to be collected by parents should gather at the supervised pick up zone between our Prep Building and the Jacaranda Playground. Here they will be supervised until 3:30pm. Any children still waiting at this time will be sent to Outside School Hours Care unless we have had a courtesy call to say parents have been delayed. Parents who make alternate, out of sight, pick-up points in front of the Church or on Leopard Street, do so in the full knowledge that their children are NOT teacher supervised.
Under no circumstances should children be told to wait at the playground as this is an unsupervised area.
